getting to Dresden

by plane

Dresden AirportThe Dresden-Klotzsche Airport is located north of the city and can be reached by bus (line 77 and 97) and tram line 7. Local trains, called the s-bahn, also have fast connections to the airport.

Flights leave to nearly all larger German cities and a few European destinations, like Zurich and Vienna. The emergence of low-cost airlines, such as Germanwings (http://www.germanwings.de) and DBA (http://www.flydba.de) has led to reduced fares to Cologne, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Munich. Lufthansa (http://www.lufthansa.com) flies to most domestic destinations.
