Our Mission

The Town Lake Animal Center is the only animal care and
control shelter operated by the City of Austin and Travis County.
We are an "open-intake" facility that accepts all animals in need,
providing shelter for about 20,000 animals every year.

We provide community animal protection, care and control,
lost & found services, pet registration and pet adoption
for all of Austin and Travis County.
