Soccer has been a very central theme in my life and has taken me to many places physically and mentally. I've played it for most of my life and I have become a better person by such great lengths. It was what I would look forward to during school and on the weekends when my friends and I would get together. Soccer kept me on track and on my way to leading the life I do. I discovered my interest for training through it and I plan on taking the experience with me on my way to becoming a personal fitness trainer.

I started playing soccer when I was ten years old and I was the first in my family to seriously consider playing it competitively. I didn't get to play anything except for local parks and rec leagues until a few years later when I tried out for my hometown's soccer club, which I got in of course. When I was on that team we had a horrible record and the first chance I got I moved to a different club with all of my friends that shared my opinion. My next club was better in every way and we were able to go to the state tournaments where the closest we got was 3rd place in South-Central Texas. There's nothing much more to that story until I got into high school.

When I got to high school everything was different. There were so many other guys competing for my position and I had to work so much harder than I had in the past. I got over this initial anxiety pretty quick and secured a starting position for the junior varsity team my freshman year. My next year I played on the junior varsity team again and, being the best striker obviously, led our team to 1st in our district. I finally got onto the varsity squad my junior and senior year and played defense and wing/striker accordingly. Yea. Leading goal-scorer.
