How does it work?

Teams are paired with a nonprofit arts organization or artist. You will meet your orgaization or artist at the Kick-Off.

What are the categories?

For Air Interactive sites will be judged on Core Accessibility, Basic Accessibility and Usability, Site Functions and up to 5 categories under Advanced Accessibility.

Advanced Accessibility items include:

Site Function points will be awarded by your arts partner. They will be asked to award points based on how well the site reflects the nature of the organization.  They will be asked to consider language, images and graphics, and other content. Is the organization's mission clear? Is the site structured to allow for maintenance and growth?  

Overall Site Quality includes Aesthetics. How enyouable is the experience of using and navigating this site? Do colors, graphics, backgrounds, icons, fonts, etc., contribute to the ability to easily read and understand the content? Are graphics and text descriptors meaningful and purposeful? Does the site provide a coherent auditory experience for people using screen readers?

In addition the judges can award up to 25 points for “exemplary effort” which is defined as clever things that provide for accessibility.
