“Color And Surface Development”, ClayWays of Austin, April of 2002 and again in January of 2001, a one-week intensive course in glaze formulation theory, testing procedures, and techniques of decoration

“Color and Surface Development”, Hill Country Arts Foundation, summer of 1998, a one week intensive course in glaze formulation theory, testing procedures, and techniques of decoration. This course emphasized the use of “Insight” glaze calculation software.

“Hand building With Drape and Press Molds”, Texas Clay Art Association, June of 2002, A one evening demonstration highlighting the fabrication and use of press and drape molded forms.

“Making Vessels, A Studio Intensive”, Hill Country Art Association, summer 1996. A one-week course for intermediate to advanced ceramics students with special emphasis on developing a dialog about relationships of process, form, and surface to artistic intent. “Clay Day”, fall 1995, One of five presenters demonstrating and discussing my work in conjunction with recent Austin Museum of Art exhibition “Revolution In Clay” exhibition. The exhibit centered around ceramic artists with connections to the Otis Art Institute in the 1950's and early 60's.

TEXAS SOCIETY OF SCULPTORS, Juried Annual Membership Exhibition, 1998

THE EMPTY BOWL PROJECT, Organized event at St. Edward's University, 1997,1998. Students, staff, and faculty made bowls that were then donated to local organization that sponsored the citywide Empty Bowl Project. At the event, patrons were served gourmet soup and bread made by local chefs. All proceeds benefited the Austin Area Food Bank

TEXAS HOME FOR THE AGING, Juried slide competition in numerous two and three-dimensional categories, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997

ART AT LARGE, Juried billboard art slide competition sponsored by the Austin Visual Arts Association, 1995
